THE FOUNDRY, CLEVELAND, OH
Peterson Architects worked with Inriver Tank and Boat and local architects Kaczmar Architects, to design a rowing tank for the Foundry, a community-based rowing organization located in a former foundry on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland.
The rowing tank was constructed within one of the existing Foundry buildings. It is configured to allow either up to 24 sweep rowers or 12 scullers to use the tank at any time. The tank is designed so that rowing stations are located directly on the building’s floor slab, maximizing ease of access to the degree possible.
