HUBBARD HALL, U.S. NAVAL ACADEMY
ANNAPOLIS, MD

Peterson Architects worked with Muse Architects and Inriver Tank and Boat to design a new 16-person rowing tank as part of the renovation of Hubbard Hall, the Naval Academy boathouse. The renovation required the removal of the ground floor in this section of the building, with reconstruction configured to accept new rowing channels, as well as mechanical and filtration equipment. The tank utilizes a racetrack configuration to fit with depth constraints of the slab assembly. Video of the tank shows Naval Academy athletes rowing with a cadence of 33 strokes per minute.

You can watch video of the tank here.
